Simplifying law through practical insights, clear analysis, and meaningful content

FLAWS OF LAW MANIFESTO
-
Accuracy and verification.
Statements of law are tied to primary sources: statutes, rules, regulations, and reported judgments. Where we rely on secondary material, we say so. Every post carries a date, and older posts are reviewed and marked when the law has changed.
-
Balanced treatment.
Where there are reasonable competing interpretations or policy positions, we present each fairly before offering any view. Commentary is clearly separated from statements of law.
-
Precision in language.
We simplify wording, not substance. Technical terms are used where they carry a specific legal meaning and are explained when first used. We do not state a rule more broadly or more narrowly than the authority supports.
-
Privacy and confidentiality.
We do not publish confidential, privileged, or personally identifying information about real parties. Case studies are anonymised or drawn from public records.

The things people worried about the most.
The posts are for general information and education only. Laws change and every situation is different, so reading this blog isn't a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer who knows your facts.
We publish weekly/twice a month and review older posts periodically. Each post shows its publication or last-updated date, so check it before relying on the content, especially for fast-changing areas of law.
Posts are written or reviewed by [our attorneys / named authors]. Each article lists the author and their area of practice.
